I know what my theme is now. I also know what I want to create and how to do it. Uncertainty has clouded my judgement until this fateful day.
Having watched the processes that are available to produce textures, reflections and decals I have a rounded idea of what is possible and impossible.
Up until this point I have felt despondent about the project as I could not see where it was going. I have been toying with textures but with no real meaning.
Modelling the fence today has made the model feel like my own. I am changing small areas with textures in mind and that excites me. I can feel the whole process forming in my head as I collect photographs and increase the source material.
I went for a walk around St Helens today with a couple of people from the group. We all started off taking the same shots but soon we fanned out and each saw something different in the surroundings. I have noticed over the past week and a half that I am continuously looking at textures wherever I go but previously wasn't seeing them. As I have been making my short journey to and from college I have been consciously and subconsciously piecing parts together that have come to fruition today.
I have taken 113 photos to day, all with something in mind. I feel positive about the project and want to work on it. I only hope I can get it completed in the time frame.
